We’ve been very hard at work here at Grooveshark, working on version 2.0, *and* a new feature that will allow some users to use the site without seeing ads, ever, and the opportunity to try version 2.0 before anyone else.
I can’t say exactly when it will be, but expect more updates soon.

Are you guys doing anything about the duplicate songs in albums, empty albums etc.?
That’s about the only reason I use Deezer over Grooveshark, when I find an album there it will never have duplicate songs, and they’ll be ordered like they should…
Grooveshark is all over the place in this regard.

As you probably know, we have a lot less control over our data because all of our content is user-sourced.
However, we do in fact have something in the works that should help quite a bit for the next version; it certainly won’t be perfect, but it will be a big improvement. :)
